Description:
Black and white photo of people standing in a line on a wooden—plank street.
Some of the people are holding United States flags. Most the crowd looks formally dressed. Buildings are on either side of the plank street. on the right is a building with a sign above the door "J.F.D" and on the roof is a long ladder. On the very top is a roof is a belfry or bell tower. Douglas Island is visible in the background. Written on top margin in green marker "4th 1899". Back of photo has a stamp "JUNEAU FIRE DEPT. 155 S. SEWARD ST. JUNEAU, ALASKA 99801" Handwritten in blue pen "JUNO FIRE STN @ 1899 AT 3RD & MAIN" In pencil is written "4th of July parade."
