Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane). The aircraft is pulled up next to a grassy shoreline. There is a man standing on the plane's left pontoon, holding on to the propeller. Rope extends from the left pontoon on to the shoreline and out of the image. The man is wearing a suit and hat. On the side of the plane is text reading: "ALASKA WASHINGTON / AIRWAYS". On the plane's tail is text reading "NC103W". Just below the cockpit windows is text reading "Skagway". Trees, sky and shoreline in the background.
Verso has a stamped "81" in the lower proper left corner in blue ink.
Photograph is of the float plane named "Skagway" at Lake Florence in 1930.
