Description:
A is album page. B—I are black and white photographs, 4.25 inches by 3 inches. All photos horizontally oriented unless otherwise noted.

A — Black paper album page with two holes per side. Four photos affixed to front; four photos affixed to back. Captions printed in white ink beside photos to which they refer. "Paul" printed in white ink, lower proper right corner of front, next to number "10" handwritten in pencil.

B — Photograph, rock fill clearing with downward slope on proper left side of photo; small truck sits at top of slope, facing away from photographer. Dark house in upper proper right corner; white house in upper proper left corner; other houses visible in background between the two. Two light—colored wires cross photo along top edge. Foreground at bottom edge of photo appears to be more sandy than rock fill beyond it. Caption below this photo and extending under next photo reads "Cropley filled his land only three months ago".

C — Photograph, same scene as B, but taken from front side of truck instead of back side. Same dark house as in B now visible in upper proper left corner of photo; other houses now in background. Light—colored house in upper proper right corner is Yax Te Hit (as per Marie Olson; still there?). Truck is parked in shadow of house, facing toward camera and slightly to proper right. See B for caption.

D — Photograph, narrow boardwalk extending away from photographer across low dip in ground created by slopes of rock fill surrounding low tideland. In background, on raised rock fill, are several houses extending across top edge of photo. Dark houses in upper proper left corner is same as in B and C; truck still visible parked next to house. Other houses light—colored. Caption below this photo and extending under next photo reads "A dangerous board—walk".

E — Photograph, side view of same boardwalk as in D. Wood pilings now visible in low dip in ground, supporting boardwalk. Boardwalk leads to door of light colored house at upper edge of photo; more houses in background beyond it. Corner of dark—colored building can be seen along proper left edge of photo. See D for caption.

F — Photograph, tidal flats in western half of Village with houses — partly on pilings, partly on rock fill — along upper third of photo. Central house closest to photographer is white; other houses visible beyond it. Broken pilings and other debris in foreground. Wooden rail visible in lower proper left corner. Caption below photo and extending under next photo reads "Western Half — Before".

G — Photograph, similar view as above but shifted to photographer's right. White house from center of F now visible in upper proper right corner; dark house with white trim around windows to proper left, with more houses visible on hillside beyond. Boardwalk with rail visible along proper left edge of photo. See F for caption.

H — Photograph, expanse of tidal flats with broken pilings and other debris. Seven to eight houses visible in background. House closest to photographer (upper proper right quadrant) is on pilings with railing built around deck surrounding house. Part of wood railing visible in lower proper left corner of photo.

I — Photograph, side view of dark—colored house with shingled sides and white trim around door and four visible windows. Rock fill slopes away from house toward photographer; wooden boardwalk visible at bottom of photo. Caption above photo reads "Cropley Residence".
Notes:
H — As per Marie Olson, one house in photo possibly belonged to Carl Nelson's mother.
F and G) Karl Nelson and Judy Franklet say the Rhodes house was the white building with the walkway.
H) House with porch was Young/Nelson house
I — As per Marie Olson, Jake Cropley built house (son Ike Cropley still alive).
