Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4th 1950" in handwriting. The image shows a parade float representing the Benevolent Protective Order of Els. The float is principally purplle, with white trim, clock faces, and faux greenery. Text on the side reads "BPOE". There are several people sitting atop the float. The crowd lines the sidewalk on the far side of the street.. The number "20" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
