Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane). The front—right section of the plane is visible in the photograph. The right wing extends out of the image view along the upper edge. There is a man standing on the end of the aircraft's right pontoon. He is resting is right arm on the plane's propeller and his left hand is in his pant's pocket. He is facing the camera. Docks, buildings and tree covered mountain in background.
Verso has a stamped number "17" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
Photographs was taken at the beginning of Alaska—Washington Airways's 1931 season at Juneau.
