Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 1957" in handwriting. The image shows a lateral view of Seward Street, just right of the intersection with First Street. A float which has just turned off of First Street travels toward the right of the image. Lateral text reads "Rotary Community Service". It is a flatbed truck pulled by a blue cab. Three men are positioned on the flatbed, all dressed like pioneers or somesuch. Two are busying themselves with a sawboard at right and the other is in a faux outhouse at the rear of the float. The number "13" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
