A: Black and white photographic print of the bow of a boat. Rope and a part of an overturned liferaft are seen on the deck. The rest of the image is water. Image has a white boarder around all four sides. Back has a section of black paper and tape where the photograph was once attached to an album page located in the middle of the back at approximately center. There is a circular stamp located on the back of the image with text reading: "PASSED US BASE 1733 ARMY EXAMINER".

Notes:
The US AFF P—510 was an emergency rescue boat in the Aleutians during WWII. 11th Air Force bombed Kiril Islands of Northern Japan in 1943—1945. The 10th Emergency Rescue Boat was assigned to them to recover air crews ditched at sea. The P—510 was built in 1944 by Fellows and Stuart in Wilmington, California with two 1500 HP Packard Engines. It was 85 feet long. Its official description was an Offshore Rescue Boat stationed at Attu.
