Description:
Postcard. The front has black and white photograph of a passenger steamship cruiser on fire. Smoke is billowing from the ship and blowing to the upper proper right edge. Debris is seen on the deck. Land is seen in the background in the proper right. Water in foreground. White text in the lower proper right corner reads: "S.S. AL—KI — POINT AUGUSTA — ALASKA". White text in the lower proper left corner reads: "WP. CO." Following this text is the copyright symbol of a "c" within a circle.

The back has typed black text along toward the top edge at approximately center which reads: "POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". There is also a dashed—line box to the proper right of this text surrounding the text: "PLACE STAMP HERE". At the top of this box are the stylized letters: "EKC".
