Description:
Black and white photograph of a sea plane (float plane) being hoisted on to a dock. The aircraft is upside down with its pontoons in the air and its wings on the dock. The ends of both wings and the front of both pontoons are damaged. There are two men in silhouette in the lower proper left corner of the image. Mountains in background. The photograph was taken at the AJ Dock. Verso has a handwritten number "56" in pencil.

The photograph is of an aircraft which crashed. The plane was turned upside down and towed back to the A.J. Dock. It was then hoisted on to the dock.

Located in photo album (2013.08.011A). Attached to album page by corner tabs. White text on album page below photograph reads: "At the A.J. dock".

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
