A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4th 1950" in handwriting. The image shows a series of parade floats traveling along a curved street, seemingly away from the camera. The float closest to the foreground is the Spirit of 76 float, and there are other indiscernable ones behind it. A bus can be seen in the background as well. Storefronts line the street to the right, one bearing the Bus Dep. sign. The crowd lines the sidewalk in front of the storefronts. The number "18" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
