A: December 1, 1975 Cancellation Envelope — First Day of issue stamp.
Paper envelope with black ink printed symbols on lower proper right: "13 cent American Eagle and Shield Regular Postage stamp" and on margin: "GASTINEAU PHILATELIC SOCIETY — JUNEAU, ALASKA" and "OFFICIAL FIRST DAY COVER" . It has a cancelled 13 cent stamp in upper proper left corner. Cancellation stamp in black ink reads: "JUNEAU. AK DEC 1 1975 99801". Typed on the envelope on mid proper left: "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE".
B: Proclamation signed by Governor Jay Hammond on October 31, 1975 creating a first day of issue stamp for the Philatelic Society New United States American Eagle and Shield Postage Stamp Day.
