One diary with textured red leather cover and paper pages. Front cover has black stamped text that reads: "DIARY \ 1920". Text is inside a scroll illustration.

Inside front cover contains personal information including: name, residence, phone numbers, emergency contact information, physican information, weight, height, automobile information, watch information, bank book number, and sizes of shoes, hosiery, hat, collar, cuffs, shirt, undershirt, drawers, coat, trousers and gloves.

Inside back cover contains a 1920 monthly calendar.

First page has text that reads: "DIARY, \ Memorandum, \ and Compendium \ of Useful Information. \ ~ \ ISSUED ANNUALLY \ ~ \ NEW CENSUS \ EDITION. \ ~ \ Two—page Reminder \ Index, \ Showing all engagements and mat— \ ters of importance at a glance. \ ~ \ Published by \ THE IDEAL DIARY CO. \ New York."

Following pages are white but sides of pages are colored pink (possibly originally red). Sections in diary include: a "1915 Census or Estimate with U.S. Census, 1910 and Per Cent. Gain 1900 to 1910", "Cost of the War in Men compiled by Watler Littlefield, in Current History, Feb., 1919" for the Central Powers and the U.S. and the Allies, a section on "Interest", a section listing various weights and measures, a daily agenda section starting on Sunday, December 28, 1919 through Saturday January 1, 1921, a table of Wages by Month and by Week section containing United States and world maps, sales and expenses chart, a telephone directory, matters of special importance, payments due, reminder index, United States war department milage dated 1913, cash chart by month and monthly calendars for the years 1919, 1920 and 1921.

Many pages include handwritten text written in either pen or pencil.

Items are from the estate of Virginia Sutton White. The Sutton Family lived in Juneau between 1915—1920 (approximately). Virginia's father was Marion Sylvester Sutton, the architect of the Juneau Public School finished in 1920. Marion Sylvester Sutton died in 1935. Virginia Sutton White died in 1995, leaving her estate to her step—daughter, Mrs. Kalaas (wife of donor).
