Notes:
The "Polar Bear" coin design speaks to the governor's offices attempts to be sure the polar bear is not listed as an endagered species, as such a listing could effect economic development of polar regions. It also speaks to the trend of global warming.
The "Predator Control" coin design speaks to the governor's office's push to have strong predator control policy in the Sate Department of Fish and Wildlife.
In total, the cartoon talks about some of the current, less than flattering, stereotypes and issues facing the state and how they could be represented symbolically.
