Alaska Teacher's Certificate Number 55 printed in black on off—white paper with decorative border and specifics typewritten in blank fields. Official seal embossed in lower proper right corner. Certificate is entitled "Alaska Teacher's Certificate" with "LIFE" typewritten above. Horizontal crease across center of paper from prior folding; proper right edge of paper is perforated. Certificate reads, "This is to Certify That T. F. Dryden having presented the evidence required by law, is hereby granted this Alaska Elementary Teacher's Certificate and is authorized to teach in the Public Schools of this Territory ["until" is crossed out] for LIFE, unless this Certificate is revoked for cause. Granted upon B.A. degree in education, University of Washington; five years successful teaching experience (Alaska). Given at Juneau, Alaska, this second day of September, 1941." Signed by James C.
