The certificate reads, "Certificate —— Pacific Salmon \ We hereby certify that the enclosed Salmon was \ legally taken in Pacific Waters. \ Melchior — Armstrong — Dessau Co. \ New York, N.Y. \ Note to Importers, Dealers and Retailers \ The production of this certificate may be required at any time during the \ Close Season in Great Britain for the purpose of proving legal capture. It \ must therefore be retained with the fish until the latter is finally disposed \ of when it must be destroyed. \ PRODUCT OF UNITED STATES"
