Scope & Content:
A: Horizontally orientated, rectangular paper envelope. Front has an embossed floral boarder. Within boarder and approximately center there is handwritten cursive text in pencil that reads: "Miss \ L. A. G." There is another pencil mark to the proper left of the "Miss" that appears to be a crossed out "L". Verso is blank. Interior edges on verso are cut along a wave.
B: Valentine. Vertically orientated, rectangular paper card. Front is decorated with gold, green, purple, white and pink paper cut to create a landscape scene and floral bouquets. Within a gold and white section towards just below center, purple text reads: "On thee \ alone my heart \ is fixed". Back in blank. Left hand side of interior is blank; though edges of front decorate is visible. Right hand side of interior has blue text that reads: "To my bosom thou art dear, \ More dear than words can tell, \ And if a fault be cherished there, \ 'Tis loving thee too well."

Notes:
Items are from the estate of Virginia Sutton White. The Sutton Family lived in Juneau between 1915—1920 (approximately). Virginia's father was Marion Sylvester Sutton, the architect of the Juneau Public School finished in 1920. Marion Sylvester Sutton died in 1935. Virginia Sutton White died in 1995, leaving her estate to her step—daughter, Mrs. Kalaas (wife of donor).
