Scope & Content:
Tan textured ledger with faded red leather corners on the right side of the front and back. The letter J is outlined in pink on the front cover. The date range November 1, 1902—April 30, 1903 is printed on the binding. The back cover has also has a red J printed in the middle and has several dark stains throughout. A corroded metal bracket extends in the back along the book spine. Includes hand—written entries in pencil that range between November 1, 1902—April 30, 1903. The individual pages have a blue and pink chart with five columns. The heading at the top is printed with 'BM Behrend's.' There are printed blank fields above the chart for 'Salesman' and 'Juneau Alaska' as well as a stamped date. The column headings include 'quantity, weight number or yards, price, amount and salesmen must not use this column.'

Content includes information about what merchandise was purchased at the B.M. Behrends Store during the time period indicated, and who the customers were.

Notes:
The B.M. Behrends ledger was found in Behrends Bank basement by Tim Dahl. The ledger was to be thrown out or burned, but was rescued when cleaning the basement.
