Scope & Content:
Tan textured ledger with torn, faded red leather corners on the right side of the front and back. The date range November 16, 1898 —June 30, 1899 is printed on the binding. The back cover has a red backwards 'G' printed on the surface and has a corroded metal bracket which extends along the book spine. A large dark stain is also present on the upper right hand corner of the back flap. The B.M. Behrends ledger was found in Behrends Bank basement by Tim Dahl. The ledger was to be thrown out or burned, but was rescued when cleaning the basement. Includes hand—written entries in pencil that range between November 16, 1898 —June 30, 1899.

Content includes information about what merchandise was purchased at the B.M. Behrends Store during the time period indicated, and who the customers were.
